Great lift for the 2024 onyx 2. 5L
Review by Jake H. on 13 Nov 2024 review stating Great lift for the 2024 onyx 2. 5L
Awesome kit, super easy install.
Advertised 2 inches but we gained about 3. 5. The ride is super smooth and it aligned within factory specs. If you are on the fence about it, don't be. It's a great kit and Iron Man 4 x 4 is a great company.

Review by Aaron S. on 14 Aug 2024 review stating Aaron . . . Monarch Beach, CA
I recently purchased a 2" Lift-Kit for my 2024' Subaru Outback Wilderness. The installation was fairly easy a lift rather than a jack would have been nice. (I highly recommend for easy)

As far as the ride, I choose to go with the harder set-up due to the fact I tow a teardrop trailer about 50% of the time. When the trailer is attached, and auto is fully loaded it levels out perfectly. It actually raises the front even a little bit more.

The ride is firm yet very comfortable surprisingly, it actually gets better as broken in especially when you're in an unloaded state.

2024 Outback Non wilderness
Review by Ruben S. on 30 Jul 2024 review stating 2024 Outback Non wilderness
2024 Outback purchased the spec-c on both front & rear. Easy install, completed in less than 6 hours. Do recommend to purchase adjustable swaybar end links in rear, I went with rallitek. When empty , loud thump in rear when going over speed bumps or potholes. Also purchase transmission anti wobble insert. Other than that great suspension , specially on dirt. Feels great going a little faster! On pavement it's a bit stiff but not that noticeable. My lift was a little over 3 inches . Still waiting too settle . Great price, very happy costumer

RULES!
Review by Ryan H. on 17 Jul 2024 review stating RULES!
This is the second Subaru lift I’ve gotten and installed from Ironman and I cannot possibly recommend them enough! Well thought out, well made, easy to install, looks great and the ride quality is still top notch.
If you’re lifting your subie, don’t waste time or money on anything else. THIS is the kit for you!

‘22 Outback TouringXT
Review by Daniel H. on 20 May 2024 review stating ‘22 Outback TouringXT
I ordered my outback the year they started making the wilderness models, but I stuck with the touring trim because I wanted the Napa leather interior. Great car. After a few years driving it stock, I mustered up the courage to lift it with the medium spec (not spec c) Ironman 2” suspension lift + rear subframe spacers. I am not a mechanic, and I wanted to do it perfectly, so I went slowly on the installation. About 8 leisurely hours on the back, and then the front went in quick, probably an hour per side. Alignment was pretty close, and easy for the professional to put back to spec. I’ve got about 1,000 miles on the lift now, and have beat it up off road, and ripped it down the highway. Only once, while aggressively accelerating through a turn, did it start wobbling… a common drivetrain issue, I’m told. I’ve got the anti-wobble bushing and the carrier bearing spacer from ADF to throw in next weekend, and I think it should be good to go after that. Time will tell. I do not expect this lift to contribute to the longevity of the car, probably the opposite, but the extra clearance and wheel travel is already allowing me to confidently take the car farther than before. Without lockers or a true low gear transfer case, the outback will never be as tough as a truck, but for a family dad wagon, you can’t get much better than this!

I get it, my 3. 6r
Review by Brian D. on 12 May 2024 review stating I get it, my 3. 6r
I get it, my 3. 6r has 160k miles on it but I was not expecting drivability issues. With the kit I get drive line shutter at 20mph. Also, the cv joints now click at low speeds so that also needs to be addressed in the future.
The build quality of the kit and hardware is great, the ride is great, rugged and responsive.
In hindsight I should gone with less left and it's my fault for going too big.

2023 Outback Wilderness
Review by Richard T. on 23 Apr 2024 review stating 2023 Outback Wilderness
I've only driven a few days to work and back . Stiffer than stock , in a good way . Installation instructions would be a 100% bonus . I live in rural WV and the roads are horrible. Handles like stock and looks very good . Went with black rhino olive drab wheels (car is same color) with a +20 mm offset , Toyo at3 open country 245/65/17 tires . CA Tuned off-road rock rails , front bumper guard and 4" rigid round driving lights . Pictures doesn't do it justice. Park it to a stock Outback and it sticks out like a sore thumb . So far so good , pleased with it .

Great lift
Review by Jaap D. on 7 Dec 2023 review stating Great lift
Install was done by “Mr. Subaru” at my
Local dealer on my Touring XT who also got me 5 Falken Wildpeak off road 235 tires on LP wheels. Feels really sturdy to drive both on road, on dirt roads and a little bit off road. Less tilting, more truck like. Looks great as well and easier to get in the car. Better than a Wilderness, and I know because I used to have one. Best kit for the mix of driving I need. Also have driven an Ascent for some time and that might be a game changer in driving performance for that model.

Taking Adventure to the Next Level
Review by Veronica F. on 29 Oct 2023 review stating Taking Adventure to the Next Level
The additional ground clearance this lift gave my 2019 Subaru Outback changed the way we are able to off-road. It really allowed us to tackle anything on the trail. We were also really impressed with the ride quality after the installation. Overall the car just feels so much more capable, not to mention it just looks amazing!

Initial Impressions
Review by Bryan D. on 17 Oct 2023 review stating Initial Impressions
2018 Subaru OB medium spec.

Finally got them installed after a long wait for IM4X4 to send me ALL the parts. Initial impressions is a real smooth ride, ride height is moderate, and I'll need to put some more miles on the rig to give a full assessment. I like the look of the height and I do notice it from the stock stance. More later on performance.

Review by Peter K. on 26 Jul 2023 review stating 2024 Subaru Outback Wilderness. . . Looks and
2024 Subaru Outback Wilderness. . . Looks and feels how it should have came from the factory. Actually rides better than stock all around on everything except the tiny little ripple-bumped roads; only slightly firmer on these types of situations. No more body roll and way more compliant. . . AND got rid of the super annoying clunk in the rear suspension when you went over a speed bump. That alone was worth the money! Best money spent on the car so far! And make sure to have it installed by Savant Autoworks in Los Alamitos, CA if you live anywhere nearby! Suspension gurus!!! Pete K.

The way it should be off the lot
Review by Daniel M. on 4 Jul 2023 review stating The way it should be off the lot
Excellent product! The way it should be off the lot. Install wasn't too bad. A few things are different on he Outback Wilderness so I took my time. Once it was all said and done got it in for alignment and they had no problem. Took a little longer than usual, but overall the tech at dealership got it done. I can't recommend enough to not torque anything down until at least it is back on the ground. I took it slow around the block and then torqued everything with a torque wrench to ensure things got in their natural positions. Once it was torqued I took it over many speed bumps in my area to get things more settled before alignment. Will be checking everything again in about 300 miles. I like the way it looks and handling is nice. The original suspension was too soft. I feel more confident with heavier cargo and passengers.

Notes:
If I were to mention a miner detail about lifting the car especially if you use jack stands. Lift the car higher than you think it needs. Lifting it just enough for wheel removal will most likely be too low when you get the new suspension on. I found myself lifting it again after it was on jack stands. Also, the forward 2" blocks that go underneath the plastic skid covers and frame will be slightly pulling on the closest plastic push pin. Might need to keep an eye on it over time as the whole cover -late is not offset for the 2". One more thing. The rear sway bar will need to be loosened so you can rotate it down towards the lower control arm. The tie rods won't reach with the new struts. Not a big deal. It just isn't mentioned in the instructions or video because it isn't an Outback wilderness as reference.

225/65/17 BFG trail terrains on 17in method offroad rims are the same size as 18in OEM rims with 225/60/18. I wanted to be able to swap out wheels for winter driving in Colorado. I had professionally installed because I dont have lifts or torque wrenches, Thanks CRP offroad in Greeley. The lift looks great and improves drive quality in all conditions. So fun to drive offroad now and the trail terrains feel great.

Review by James M. on 16 May 2023 review stating Great product
I was hesitant to have it installed but was very satisfied with the results. The ride is a bit more stiff but really shines in corners. 235/65 R18 tires did rub when turning tight. I put on 235/60 R18s and everything is great. The ride height is noticeable and the vehicle is easier to get in and out of. Definitely recommend for anyone looking for more ground clearance and appearance.

Installed with no issues, kit was complete.
The only thing I would suggest is that the installation instructions include all the torque values.
Netting me a 1. 25” lift on my Wilderness.
The drive quality is good, a bit stiffer than stock but still comfortable.
Hitting speed bumps at speed is incredibly smooth…. if that is your thing!

Install was easy, aligned
Review by Jason A. on 6 Aug 2022 review stating Install was easy, aligned
Install was easy, aligned well and the extra load capacity of 400lbs is perfect for hauling 3 dirt bikes and all the gear when I don't want to drive my truck. It still rides smoothly in all conditions and handles larger hits in the dirt. Definitely will handle any conditions my wife will see and gives me the capability and confidence to take side roads when I see a new one or feel the need. It surprised me how well the suspension handles off road conditions. I am running a 255/55/18 tire that easily clears. I really like it, happy I did it. FYI, I also purchased LP rock sliders at the same time and found that they do not mount correctly with the rear subframe blocks. I will have to modify the rear mount.

Great lift and service
Review by Donald T. on 20 Dec 2021 review stating Great lift and service
Regardless of its price, the 2" ATS lift for the 2022 subaru outback is a great suspention for trail and other off road driving. I will say for myself that the original price was a little high but ironman often runs sales and if you can afford it i would recommend buying it. Gives a very smooth ride on washboard roans and the lift adds alot of confidence around big rocks. On road it is almost as soft as stock but where it is stiffer it adds a sense of stability especially on corners. Feels alot less tippy and more controlled. The only negative oppinion i have about the lift is that the rear diff is only . 5 to 1 inch higher than stock because the rear lift comes with something like an inch subframe spacer making the diff the lowest point on the car now however that is needed to keep the alignment within spec. customer service has been phenomenal and easy to work with.
